60th Anniversary of RDA
Riding for the Disabled is celebrating 60 Years of Riding for the Disabled in New Zealand.
The RDA story in New Zealand began with one group in Waipukurau, Central Hawke’s Bay in 1962. Today, the national umbrella organisation represents over 50 affiliated groups around the country. From Kaitaia in the north to Invercargill in the south, RDA provides life-changing opportunities for more than 3,000 disabled children and adults in local communities each year.
We have kicked off the celebrations with our Awards Evening and Dinner at Naumi Hotel on Saturday 2 July 2022, and our Breakfast at Parliament on Monday 4 July 2022.
Many thanks to our guests, volunteers, and riders for their involvement in these events.
Later this year we will have a Morning Tea at Government House in Auckland on 11 August 2022, and a Virtual Celebration evening online on 3 September 2022.
